Infectious Disease Control
Save lives by stopping the spread of disease
Through advancements in material technology and innovative methods of installing and maintaining these materials, infectious disease control is on the verge of becoming one of the main ways of controlling and mitigating the spread of disease in all types of medical facilities.
Local 41 Heat and Frost Insulators are trained and certified to perform infectious disease control for the strictest of hospital environments, saving lives by helping to stop the spread of germs and bacteria. Our members are experienced in this intricate insulation process that requires the careful filling of any holes, penetrations, gaps or spaces that could create a potential pathway for the spread of disease or any type of airborne contaminant.
Infectious disease control may take place during either the initial construction or while any addition or upgrade is taking place to occupied hospitals and medical facilities.
Our members are trained to work in occupied medical facilities, following Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) standards which certify that the construction work being completed is safe for all parties within the building.
